Frequently asked questions about mail order film processing from Process One:

How long does it take to get the film processed?
Check here for our current turn-around times.  We work hard to get film processing orders completed quickly, but at certain times, when our film developing volume is extremely high, film processing orders may take a little longer.

What are the shipping charges for mail order film processing?
The charges vary according to the size of your order, but usually run between $4.95 and $6.95 per order.
Priority Mail (2 to 3 days) is available starting at $9.95, and EXPRESS Mail Overnight starts at $32.00.

Do I need a mailer or an order form?
We don't supply mailers, so you can send us your film in any kind of package you like, just make sure it is securely closed, along with your order form.  You can download your order form here..

How can I pay for my film processing order?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover and PayPal. You can enter your credit card payment information on the order form or choose the PayPal option.  If you select PayPal we will email an invoice through PayPal which you can then pay online.  Once your order has been paid we destroy your payment information - we do not retain your payment information.

How do I pay for my order using PayPal?
Once your order is complete we will email the PayPal invoice to you. Then, you'll click on the link in the email to view and pay your bill online using PayPal.

What if I don't have a PayPal account?
If you don't have a PayPal account, that's just fine - you can checkout online as a guest with your credit or debit card, without creating an account.

Can Process One develop half-frame 35mm film?
Yes! Half-frame 35mm film processing.  Each half frame is scanned and printed as a single frame, not as a pair.  So, you'll get exactly what you expect - 72 photos from a 36 exposure roll of film.

Will I get my film negatives and slides back?
YES! We always return your film. So, you can count on getting your negatives and slides back when your order is complete.

Can Process One just email my scanned film images to me?
No we can't - but we can upload your scanned film photos to Dropbox for easy download.

How do I get my digital film scans from Dropbox?
Once your order is complete and paid, we will email the Dropbox link to your photos. Your film scans will be in a shared folder, which you can access by signing into your Dropbox account, or by using the Dropbox app on your device. You can find the Dropbox mobile app here.

How long are my photos available for download from Dropbox?
We will keep your photos available on Dropbox for 30 days after the link is emailed to you.

What types of chemicals do you use?
We use genuine Fuji film chemicals for color print film (C41), Kodak X-Tol developer for black & white, and Fuji Pro6 E6 chemicals for E6 color slide film.

Can I get my film scanned and printed, or can I just get the film developed only?
Sure, we can either process and scan, process and print, or just 'process only' - its your choice.  You can pick your desired services from the list on the order form.

What types of paper can you print our pictures on?
We can make your photo prints on matte or glossy photo paper.  See our paper types here

Do I pay for pictures that don't turn out?
We try to print every picture that we can, but sometimes the film frames are blank or too dark to print. If a frame is blank we will not print is, and your will not be charged for the blank frames.  If the entire roll is blank we will only charge for the film processing.

Do you color correct the pictures before you print them?
Yes, we look at each film frame and make corrections as needed.  If you prefer that we print your film without corrections just tell us that in the 'Special Instructions' box before you checkout.

How do I send film in for processing?
First you will need to download an order form:  Get a mail order form here.  Then complete the order form and send it to us along with your film - we will complete your order and send it back.

What is the best way to send film in for processing?
Most people send their film to us using the USPS, and we also receive film from FedEx and UPS. We suggest a well-sealed padded envelope or box - please do not send your film in a plain envelope, as it will be damaged during shipping. If you are sending us film using USPS, please use the correct 'Package Rate' postage.

Do I have to pay if the entire roll of film is blank or doesn't turn out?
If your film doesn't turn you will only be charged for the film developing.

Does Process One process regular 'amateur' film or only Professional Film?
We gladly process all types of film for professionals, advanced amateurs, moms, dads, students and just about anyone else that needs high quality film developing.
